Prints
We scan photographs from 2x2 up to 8.5x14 inches on high-volume, auto-feeding scanners. Bring prints loose, in the order you want them scanned. Take them out of albums and frames before drop-off.
Slides
35mm slides are our standard slide size. Other slide sizes are priced on request. Slides are scanned with an air cleaning process and in rare instances we may use an anti-static cleaning cloth to remove finger prints. Lint, dust and scratches are common on stored slides, and unless they can be removed with the air cleaning process, we do not remove these imperfections as part of the capture process. 35mm slide scans are approximately 4496×3000 pixels, which can render print sizes between 12x18 and 16x24. How to Prepare Your Slides
A good rule: if you bring in a physical mess, you will get back a digital mess.
- Bring them to us in the order you would like them scanned, with proper notes. We do not charge extra for this service.
- If you have carousels and they are marked, we will keep them in chronological order.
- If you have them in boxes or loose, you may want to separate them by the date taken or the subject matter.
- We check all slides for the proper orientation and emulsion before scanning, so you do not need to worry about this in the preparation stage.
Negatives & Film
We scan 35mm negatives in strips of 3 to 6 frames, 120 medium format film in strips of 1 to 3 frames, and 126 and 110 film. Bring your negatives in their sleeves or envelopes, in the order you want them scanned, and label each roll or envelope.

Priced per strip, not per frame. One fixed price, whatever the quantity. Strip prices apply to strips of 3 to 6 frames. Strips of one or two frames are priced at $5.00 per frame.

Do my originals leave the store?
No. Your originals stay safely in our lab while we scan them.
How do I get my scans?
Your scans are delivered to an online gallery on our website. From there you can download your images or order prints. You can also order your scans on a USB drive.
What file format will I get?
Scans are delivered as JPEG files. TIFF files are available for 35mm and 120 negatives at the prices above.
How long does it take?
Most orders are ready in 2 to 14 days, depending on the size of the order. Larger collections may require more time.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. Every scanning order has a $10 minimum.
Do you remove dust and scratches?
Standard scans are not retouched. Dust removal, defect removal, color correction and restoration are available as custom upgrades. Contact us for a quote.
